While exploring the island it's impossible not to come in contact with the locals and share a few casual words. They are open and friendly. It's the best part of being a traveler and always a privilege here on Kauai.
Here's Honda, a retired plantation worker trimming her hedge on a sunny morning in Makaweli, Chintz, a student at Hanalei Elementary School, riding his mule Daisy and a keiki sharing a private joke after her hula performance.
This is Kauai where everyday is a joyful experience.
